Join us for Storytime

BabyTime

Babytime is a 15-minute story, song and rhyme time, followed by a 30-minute playtime. This program is for babies ages six to 24 months and their caregiver. Only the caregiver and baby may attend. No registration required.

Play and Learn Storytime

Storytime will include stories, songs, rhymes and more that encourage development of early literacy skills in young children. This storytime is perfect for children who prefer a cozy atmosphere. Recommended for ages 2-5 and their families. No registration required.

Super sized Storytime

We’re super-sizing our Family Storytime. Join us in the Dunning Room on the main level for the same storytime you know and love but SUPER-SIZED! We’ll have more room to wiggle and sing and more room for friends. Storytime includes a mix of books, songs, and activities for children ages 2-5 with their families. Registration is not required.

Kindergarten Bootcamp

Storytime will include a mix of books, songs, and activities for children ages 4-5; kids will attend alone to help prepare for a classroom setting. Caregiver must remain on the Youth Lower Level. Registration required.

Mon Jun 1 @ 06:00 PM BARK: Be A Reading Kid (Ages 5-12)
At this paw-some program, children are paired with therapy dogs for 15-minute reading sessions, encouraging them to grow in their reading skills. Slots are first-come, first serve beginning 15 minutes before the program.

Thu Jun 4 @ 01:00 PM Kindergarten Bootcamp (Ages 4-5)
Prepare your little one for independence with Kindergarten Bootcamp! Kids will enjoy storytime on their own with stories and activities designed to develop literacy, social-emotional, and kindergarten readiness skills. Caregivers should remain on the youth floor. Registration required. 

Thu Jun 4 @ 05:00 PM Graphic Novel Book Club (Ages 8-12)
Read and discuss a graphic novel with a group! This event is held at State of Comics in downtown Plymouth. The first five registrants keep a free book; others get library copies. Pick up books at the Youth Desk starting May 7. June's pick is Creaky Acres by Calista Brill & Nilah Magruder. Sponsored by Friends of PDL. Age Group: 8-12
