Beginning November 1, 2019, Macmillan and their subsidiaries and imprints will restrict access to e-book purchases for libraries. Under the new policy, a library purchasing group will be restricted to one copy of new releases for two months. For Plymouth patrons, this will have a dramatic effect on wait times for new releases. Our library is in an Overdrive purchasing group organized by Midwest Collaborative for Library Services (MCLS). Under Macmillan’s new policy, the MCLS group will be limited to a single purchase to be shared by over 20 public libraries.Read More
The Wilcox Foundation sponsors academic scholarships to Plymouth and Canton Students, awarded through an essay contest. Each essay will receive either a first, second, or random draw designation. First place is $2,000, second is $1500, and random draw is $1,000. The scholarship awards must be used for post high school educational purposes.
The 2020 essay theme focuses on the lives of school age children between 1950 and 1960. Contest rules and essay specifics are described in more detail in this PDF file.

Our STEAM collection now has a real microscope that you can use in the library. There are also four sets of prepared slides that you can use with the microscope. Just ask at the Youth HELP desk on the lower level of the library and someone will help you set it up. The microscope was a generous donation from one of our patrons.Read More
