Wilcox
Amphitheater
& Gardens
I want to announce an exciting project that we are embarking on to celebrate our centennial year. Thanks to the generosity of the Wilcox Foundation, we are reimagining the library’s grounds and planning for the construction of an outdoor event space– the Wilcox Amphitheater.
The new space is scheduled to break ground this year. It will include an outdoor stage with seating for intimate performances, youth programs, and community gatherings. Along with it we are converting our entire grounds to native, pollinator-friendly plantings to serve as an educational garden focused on sustainability.
With this exciting endeavor, we are inviting the community to get involved– volunteer to help grow plants for the space, join us for planting days throughout the next year. If you are able, you can also purchase an engraved stone that will make up the stage of the Amphitheater. If you are interested in contributing in any of these ways, please send me a message using the form below.
Thank you for all the ways you have contributed to this phenomenal institution over our last 100 years. We look forward to all the growth to come in the next 100.
