Explore, create, and connect with technology throughout the library. From public computers and printing to advanced creative tools, we offer free access to equipment and software that supports learning, work, and innovation.

3D PRINTING & LARGE FORMAT PRINTING WILL BE UNAVAILABLE UNTIL RENOVATIONS ARE COMPLETED ON THE UPPER LEVEL

Public Computers

  • The Technology Commons on the library’s Upper Level offers public computers with internet, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite. Bring your library card or ask for a guest pass at any information desk to log in.
  • Additional computers are available in the Teen Lounge on the Main Level (reserved for ages 12-18 after school and on weekends).
  • Hotspot and Chromebook kits are available for checkout to PDL cardholders.
  • COMING SOON: Chromebook laptops will be available for in-library use on our Lower Level, perfect for parents or caregivers who want to work nearby while their children read/play.

Printing, Copying, Scanning, and Faxing

  • 10 Free Pages: All library users receive 10 free pages of printing or copying per day (black & white or color).
  • Printing/Copying: Beyond the first 10 pages, printing or copying is $0.10/page. Self-serve machines are available on the Upper Level and Main Level. These machines take both cash and credit card.
  • Mobile Printing: Send print jobs directly from your own device using our online portal or by attaching the document to an email to: color-plymouthlibrary@eprintitsaas.com
  • Free Faxing: Available in the Main Level Lobby, next to the Checkout Desk. International faxing is not available.
  • Scanning Station: Easily scan, restore photos, translate documents, and more at our Upper Level scanning station.

Introducing the Technology Commons

Our new Technology Commons combines the former computer lab and makerspace into one collaborative, hands-on space. It’s the place to:

  • Work on public PCs with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and other software
  • Access assistive technology, including adaptive keyboards, text-to-speech, screen magnification, and a CCTV magnifier
  • Use creative equipment such as:
    • Cricut machines and heat tools
    • Glowforge laser cutter
    • Sublimation and poster printers
    • Embroidery machine, serger, and sewing machines
    • 3D printers

Staff are available to help you get started. If you need extra technology help, consider reserving time with someone through our Checkout an Expert program.

COMING SOON: Maker equipment is currently being installed. Check back for more updates on availability of the equipment below. Before using the library’s maker equipment, you must sign a waiver available at the Tech Help Desk.

Cricut Machines

Our Cricut Maker 3 machines can cut a variety of materials like vinyl, fabric, and paper to create one-of-a-kind projects such as decals, cards, mugs, glasses, t-shirts, and more. The library provides a cutting blade, supportive tools, and mats to use with the Cricut. You must bring your own cutting media.

Users also have access to heat tools that complement the Cricut machines, such as a standard Heat Press, mini Heat Press, and Mug Press.

Laser Cutter

Our Glowforge Laser Cutter and Engraver can be used for a variety of projects. Library staff must be available to supervise the start of each Glowforge project. At this time, we will only accept Glowforge-rated materials in the machine, to ensure the health and safety of our library spaces.

Sewing Machines

The library offers a Baby Lock Capella Embroidery Machine, Singer Serger, and Janome Sewing Machine.

While we have a limited selection of standard needle sizes, scrap fabric, and thread available for public use, we recommend that you bring any specific materials required for your project.

Poster Printer

The library provides large-format print-on-demand services. Send your document along with any details to print@plymouthlibrary.org and a staff member will follow up with you to complete your request

Large-Format prints cost $0.40/inch of paper.

3D Printers

The library offers 3D print-on-demand services. Send your .STL document along with any details to print@plymouthlibrary.org and a staff member will follow up with you to complete your request.

3D prints cost $0.10/gram filament + $1/hour of printing.

Sublimation Printers

Our Sawgrass SG500 Sublimation Printer can print durable transfers that work on a variety of surfaces. This machine is available for independent use. Please plan to bring your own materials to print on.
