Summary

Plymouth District Library offers great ways to connect with like-minded seniors including groups for crafting, chess playing, writing and book discussions.

In today’s digital world, finding ways to engage with others in person – especially NEW others – can be challenging. Fortunately, being retired and having your time to plan as you desire opens up great new opportunities to connect. Plymouth District Library is happy to provide a number of forums for folks to meet and become a part of a group. Our adult Hook & Needle Craft Group meets every second and fourth Tuesday at 10:30am. Bring your project-in-progress and spend time with other crafters. Drop-in chess happens every first Tuesday from 6-8pm. Players from grade 6 through retiree mix together over a board to challenge and learn from each other. Every first and third Tuesday, our Writing Group meets at 1:30pm. Whether you are working on a novel, a memoir, poetry or another format, this group welcomes you to come support and share. Finally, the library has three adult book groups that always welcome new members. More information can be found on our Read/Watch/Listen page. Why not come try one of these opportunities out and see if it might be a good fit for you?
