When will the library re-open?
We are not certain when the library building will re-open. Please visit our website and social media sites for updates. You can also call for assistance at 734-453-0750,ext. 200 or email email@example.com
Can I get a library card?
You bet! If you live or work in the city of Plymouth or Plymouth Township, please fill out the online application for a library card. Students who live in Plymouth or Plymouth Township can apply for a library card as well.
My library card is expired.
All recently-expired library cards have been automatically renewed through June 30, 2020. If it has been a long time since your card expired, you can apply for a new one online.
What is the PIN for my library card?
The PIN for your library card is the last four digits of the phone number in your library card account. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if it needs to be reset.
Can I put materials on hold or place orders in MeLcat?
The holds function in both our library catalog and in MeLCat, the state-wide lending system, have been turned off temporarily. You can place holds again as soon as we reopen!
I had items on hold, ready for pick-up when the library closed. When can I pick them up?
We will hold them for you until we are able to re-open the library. You will not lose your spot on the hold list, we won’t send them back, and the holds won’t expire. This includes MeL interloans.
I know my books are overdue. Can I drop them in the outside dropbox?
The outside book drop is currently closed. All due dates have been extended to June 30. We would appreciate you holding on to your checked out material until we reopen, to prevent a huge backlog when staff return to work. No fines will accrue while the library is closed. If you had overdue materials before we closed, the fine will not continue to accrue until we re-open.
I had an AARP tax appointment scheduled. Can I re-schedule?

Will library programs and classes be re-scheduled?
In many cases, programs will be re-scheduled for the summer or fall depending on a variety of factors, such as presenter availability, meeting room availability, funding, or any potential limits on congregations of people. Keep an eye on the event calendar at plymouthlibrary.org.
Is anybody working at the library?
Our staff is working remotely to maintain the computer systems, website, catalog, and our electronic resources. They are creating social media content, watching webinars, taking online classes, and planning for future materials, programs, and services. A few authorized staff are in the building for maintenance and security.
What services are still available, while the library is closed?

The Bike Fix-It Station outside the library is up and running as well! If your ride needs an adjustment, give it a try.
