English Language Learners

The library offers books, workbooks, recorded books and newspapers for English language learners. For more information about ELL resources please contact Katy Kramp or telephone her at 734-453-0750 x259.

The Library partners with the Plymouth-Canton Community Literacy Council to help English Language Learners. You can sign up for free one-on-one tutoring or find an ELL class in the area.

Tutors from the Literacy Council lead free weekly conversation and reading groups at this library. If you are interested, visit our calendar for details. While we are meeting online, you can get the Zoom link and links to the readings and worksheets we use during the group meetings by signing up for the ELL Group News.  In ordinary times, the ELL Group News will let you know about special events like field trips or holiday parties.

Help NowBrainfuse’s HelpNow – eLearning for all ages and levels. This link is direct to Adult Learners.
Students work with live tutors using an interactive whiteboard to chat, write, draw, copy and paste text or images and graph homework problems.

HelpNow™ is available to all Plymouth library card holders from any computer with an internet connection.


Read it! Read It! is designed for middle and high school students and adults who have a basic foundation in English grammar and reading but need simpler reading material for a many subjects. It offers resources to help build background knowledge, conduct research and improve study skills.


LearningExpress Library helps with study skills, standardized test prep, career certification, and citizenship test preparation.
