Get inspired in our 700s collection. Check out an art book and use what you learn to create some animal artwork! Submit your finished products to srp@plymouthlibrary.org and we’ll feature them on our website on the Animal Art Challenge page.

You can use our Tails & Tales Animal Art Challenge Booklist to get you started or visit our display on the Youth Floor for inspiration.

Each Tuesday, June 15th through August 3rd, we will have a different “Take & Make” activity for you to pick up from the lower level Youth HELP desk.

Wednesdays at 10 am & 7 pm, June 16th though August 4th

Join us for storytime on Zoom where the whole family can enjoy stories, rhymes, songs and more. Register on our Events Calendar for the morning or evening program and you are registered for the whole eight week session.

Reading Buddies is a fun program that pairs young new readers (grades K – 3) with a teen buddy for read aloud practice and reading fun. This summer’s program will be held over Zoom on four Monday evenings July 12 – August 2. In each session, the buddies will be selecting books online to share together. Each session will end with some words-based fun with the whole group.

Parents – Register your child for the July 12 session using this youth signup. They will automatically be signed up for the remaining three sessions on July 19, July 26 and August 2.

This summer, because we can’t do it in person, we are offering “Babytime” in a bag!

Register your baby for an awesome bag with a board book, toy, booklist and more. We have even included our favorite animal themed rhymes, songs and finger plays for babies.

One per child, while supplies last.

Take a picture of your young reader sharing a book with an animal and post it to social media. Tag us and use #PDLTales2Tails.

No pet? No problem! Stuffed animals and shelter animals enjoy books too. You can even snap a pic with our stuffies on the Youth floor.
