The
Friends made the 2007 Renovation Celebration possible through hard
work and financial support. Here Carla Barrett, Sally Poux,
Joe Gilmore and Sharon Rucinski provide refreshments to party guests.
|
Friends
of the Plymouth District Library generously support many programs
for the children of the community. These activities include:
- Record-breaking summer reading program for over 1250 children
and 300 teens
- "Born
to Read" book
bags full of pre-reading goodies for parents & grandparents
of new babies
- Kid's Book Week program and prizes
- Programs
for homeschool families

As a commitment to the entire Library community,
the Friends also provide these services on an on-going basis:
- Various volunteer work assignments in the library
- Used Book Sale all year round
- Special Book Sales throughout the year
- Sale of Old and Rare Used Books via the Internet
- Seasonal
floral displays and statues for the Library
- Special event sponsorship and assistance, like the Renovation
Celebration in October 2007.
