Reconsideration Request Procedure
A patron's request to have any materials (book, periodical, video, CD, CD-ROM etc.) removed from the Library collection shall be handled as follows:- The patron should voice his/her objection to the Librarian in charge.
- At this time, the patron will receive and fill out a Reconsideration Request Form.
- The Director will consider the request and notify the patron of its disposition.
- If the patron is dissatisfied with the Director's disposition, he/she may request that the subject be referred to the Plymouth District Library Board.
- The patron will be notified when the Board will consider the request. At that time, the patron will be given time to express reasons for his/her objection to the specific material.
- The decision of the Board will be final. The patron will receive a written disposition of the request if desired.
